Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 occurred from November 30 to December 15, 2024, at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center “上海东方体育中心”, translated as “East.” Twenty-four teams participated in the tournament and competed not only for a large sum of $1,250,000 but also for the most prestigious award of the tournament – the Major Champions Cup!

The most interesting match of the Quarterfinals was the match between FaZe Clan and Vitality. But this is not surprising because these are two very strong teams that constantly compete with each other. They often met in the grand finals, and each time, the result was different, so there was no one to say what to expect from the teams in this meeting.

There were only two matches in the semi-finals: MOUZ vs Team Spirit and G2 Esports vs FaZe Clan. It was much hotter here! Despite the fact that the time was not the best for the European region, there were still more than 200 thousand viewers on the stream.

The MOUZ vs. Team Spirit match is one we could talk about for a long time, but is it really worth diving that deep? That’s a question for another time. The first map was incredibly fierce, both teams were very focused and showed something interesting, especially MOUZ, their player Brollan showed an outstanding performance with a KD of 1.8, but after the first map, something went wrong.

Team Spirit simply crushed MOUZ on the second map and probably knocked the opponent out of emotional stability, so much so that even on the next map, MOUZ couldn’t gather properly. In the end, Team Spirit claimed victory in this thrilling matchup.

The second meeting in the Semifinals took place between G2 Esports and FaZe Clan, and although the first map was not very interesting, the second one was the complete opposite. Both teams played incredibly beautifully. With how well they were prepared and knew each other, it was incredible. We would recommend watching the second map in this match.

As expected, the team of the year, FaZe Clan, once again stood on the precipice of their long-awaited Grand Final victory. However, one formidable opponent remained in their path, a rival they had faced in similar circumstances before.

Would Team Spirit prove an insurmountable obstacle for FaZe Clan, or would FaZe Clan crush Team Spirit like a bug? Read on to find out!

The most anticipated match, the Grand Final between FaZe Clan and Team Spirit, was watched by over a million players worldwide. Hundreds of thousands of fans prayed for their team’s victory, and then it began – the first map.

As soon as the first map, Nuke, started, Team Spirit immediately demonstrated their power. In particular, magixx and donk carried the team. Their gameplay is nothing short of extraordinary. The way they aimed and escaped seemingly impossible situations was truly remarkable. magixx, in particular, excelled on the first map, achieving a 1.80 KD ratio.

With such a strong opponent on the first map, FaZe Clan could not cope, even despite the fact that it was the choice of FaZe themselves.

However, they quickly regrouped and were able to put up a fight on the second map, Ancient, and not just put up a fight but even throw Team Spirit off their game a bit. Especially in the first round when it seemed like Team Spirit had the advantage, the team captain of Faze, Finn ‘karrigan’ Andersen, and Håvard ‘rain’ Nygaard were able to take matters into their own hands and turn the round in their favor.

This continued for many rounds in a row. Spirit had good attempts at attacking, and many of them were successful, but Faze felt their strength and understood all their strengths. They played simply amazingly, thanks to which they equalized the score!

The third and most difficult map. The map on which it is decided who will become the winner! Let’s say in advance this was simply the hottest map of the entire tournament! Be sure to check it out in the replay.

Words are not good enough to describe this game, how professional the game was, how cool the weapon handling was, and how strong opponents clashed in the duel. However, Spirit was just a little luckier.

First, in the first round, a triple kill by Donk, then in the second round, magixx barely noticed karrigan’s elbow, thanks to which he made the second triple on this map. Everything seemed to be created for Spirit’s victory, but these are just thoughts.

The game was intense and fiercely competitive, with FaZe even staging an impressive comeback from 12:4 to 12:11. However, despite their efforts, Spirit ultimately secured the victory with a final 13:11 score.
